| an EGT sensor in each of the exhaust manifolds watching #5 and #6... but that's because I'm paranoid and I drive my Z on a roadcourse where it sees high loads and temps for an extended period. If you only drag race, you can probably bump the timing a little without jacking things up too bad. But yes, you should see a difference in power and spool. How much? dunno. Give it a try on a dyno and let us know. :)
